Black Plastica & Winterlaced have interwoven their creative energies to produce a body of work that embraces life & death, shibari, sex, & fashion.
Black Plastica’s ethereal work is immersed in strong feminine energies. Channeling the sexual power of her subjects, she reaches in deep & pulls forth the goddesses lurking within the species. Utilizing a soft palette of muted tones she invites we the viewers further in so that mood of each image infuses into us.
Winterlaced's serpentine knotwork intertwines the raw elements of earth. Her 'death blooms', while aesthetically beautiful, carry a dark message. Yet each has roots & sings of the rebirth of spring. The elements of shibari remind us that the ties that bind are often all that hold us to this mortal coil.
