I view the human form as one single canvas

No matter how many tattoos you have, at the end of the day, you only have one body thus one tattoo. So I try to focus on single tattooer/client relationships wherein we can build trust over time & work towards a greater goal.

If you are a collector who prefers to acquire a lot of work from a variety of tattooers then more power to you; I think that path is great & can yield wonderful outcomes. However, as a tattooer one of my goals within this limited lifespan is to work on as many single canvases as possible. I would prefer to have more tattooing done on fewer people as opposed to many tattoos scattered across a myriad of people.

Is a single tattooer/client relationship what you are seeking?

If so, I would love to start working with you. I think it wise to start with your back & then work on the secondary imagery i.e. arms, etc. However it’s not completely necessary, often clients start with the sleeves and later move onto their backs. So long we keep the greater goal in mind the path remains solid.

A backpiece covers the entire plane of your back which includes the back of your thighs (I'm sure you know this but some are not aware so I have to mention it). If you want to complete a backpiece project in a timely manner, I suggest coming in to be tattooed once or twice a month. However, if you are coming from afar, this schedule can be demanding. In this situation, if you can book multiple day sessions every three to four months, you'll still complete it within the same rough time frame. Consistency is key. If you are a motivated client you can complete your backpiece in about one year; longer if you take extended breaks between sessions. The most important thing is to try & stay consistent.
